Paramore (pronounced "Par-a-more") is a Grammy-nominated American pop rock band that was formed in Franklin, Tennessee in 2004. Paramore consists of Hayley Williams (lead vocals/keyboard), Josh Farro (lead guitar/backing vocals), Jeremy Davis (bass guitar), and Zac Farro (drums).

Influenced by the likes of Jimmy Eat World and Sunny Day Real Estate, frontwoman Hayley Williams and lead guitarist Josh Farro are the group's primary songwriters. In 2005, the group released their debut album All We Know Is Falling, gaining a fanbase through touring and internet promotion of the singles "Pressure" and "Emergency". By 2007, the band found mainstream success with their second album Riot! which was certified gold.

The first single, "Misery Business", has received wide radio airplay and allowed for MTV to feature the band in Artist of the Week segments during August 2007.

Been listening to alot of Paramore recently. Ever since I saw them live on MTV's "MTV Live" programme, I was immediately hooked onto their sound. There is just something about Hayley's voice and style that makes you keep wanting more.

Went for shisha at The Curve the other day. This place is not a shisha parlor or anything, but it is actually a tobacco specialist. The method of preparing the shisha here is interesting. Instead of poking many many holes all over the top of the bowl, he only made a few holes in the center and placed ONE block of coal over the holes in the center.

This is different compared to the conventional many many holes and at least 3 pieces of coal on the bowl. The shisha there was not bad I suppose, although I ordered Mint but got Peach instead. The environment is nice and the shisha is not too expensive, RM15.

When I say that this place is a tobacco specialist, I mean SPECIALIST. They have EVERYTHING which has to do with tobacco and smoking in the shop. Even a special temperature and humidity controlled room to keep all the expensive cigars.

Mabel recently started rolling her own cigs, and I couldn't resist but to try.

In about 30mins from now, the Olympic torch will be making its way around KLCC. The entire KLCC area is abuzz with this flame thing.

As I was on my way back to the office from lunch, I noticed a big group of people gathered at the entrance to KLCC. Initially I thought they were animal rights people protesting about the animal cruelty linked to this year's Beijing 2008 Olympics.

But as it turned out, they were just a bunch of locals from China gathered to welcome the Olympic flame :)

I must say that the 90's were probably the best times of my life. That was when I was still in school, growing up, learning about life. I've not stopped learning of course, life is one long learning process. Everyday we learn something new and it just makes you a better person.

So anywayz, thinking about the 80's and 90's, I thought why not post up some of my favourite tunes from those two eras! Get ready for a trip down memory lane people.

Eagle Eye Cherry - Save Tonight

Aerosmith - Cryin'

Guns N' Roses - Paradise City

Babylon Zoo - Spaceman

Kriss Kross - Jump

Poison - Every Rose has its Thorn

Hanson - MmmBop

Sean Kingston live in Zouk KL. Was abit worried when we first got there at 8:30pm (event was scheduled to start at 9pm). There was little or no crowd at all. Hung around outside the club for a little bit, taking pictures here and there.

But then about 30mins later, the crowd started coming in.

After hanging around outside the club for about 45mins, we decided to head on in. To our surprise, there was already a crowd inside from much earlier. Must've been die-hard fans or something.

More pictures from inside while waiting for Sean Kingston.

And then..A familiar face came onto stage.

JJ & Natalie from Hitz.FM

They introduced the opening act, some dude named Jin.

He was not bad lah I suppose, although he ripped melodies from alot of current hits. He actually changed "Party like a rockst*r" to "Party in KAY ELLE" or something like that, I don't really remember. Was kind of lame if you ask me.

So anyway, after about 30mins of Jin, the man of the hour finally came onto stage.

He opened with this song;

The crowd went nuts. I was literally pinned to where I was standing. No place to move at all! Taking the camera out from my front pocket was no easy task.

This was probably the best song of the night for me;

After his performance, there was a lucky draw in which one lucky female and one lucky male could win a Sony Ericsson W660i handphone. Nobody came out when the female name was called, so they improvised a little.

These "sexy" ladies had to dance if they want the phone.

All in, I would say it was a pretty rockin' event. Despite the delay AND despite that there was NO ALCOHOL that night, I would say that I had loads of fun.

Haih, found a dead kitten under the car this morning. Died of natural causes. This fella was really weak in the first place. My guess would be it was the weakest of the lot. Can't really tell from the pic below, but it is the one nearest to the camera.

On to something happier, Sean Kingston is in town. The dude dropped by the Maxis Centre downstairs just a couple of hours ago. Man, he looks so different in person.

Got this bit of info and pictures from Patch.

These pictures are supposedly of an upcoming movie based on the ever-so-popular Japanese anime Dragonball Z. From the pictures, I SERIOUSLY hope that these pictures were taken very very very early in production. I mean..the characters don't even look REMOTELY close to how they are supposed to look!
